Crime Watch Report - April 12 to April 18, 2020

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 238 complaints.

 

1) File 2020-3153: Vandals were reported to have damaged plant in the area of McMillan Street & Island Highway West, Parksville, on April 12th.

2) File 2020-3156: A pair of Maui Jim sunglasses and change were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Sandwedge Close, Qualicum Beach, on April 12th.

3) File 2020-3162: A property had a glass front door reported damaged in the 100 block of Fern Road East, Qualicum Beach, on April 12th. Entry was not gained.

4) File 2020-3164: A resident reported their purse being stolen while shopping in the 800 block of Island Highway West, Parksville, on April 12th.

5) File 2020-3165: A private company fire truck was reported vandalized on a private road in the vicinity of Horne Lake Road, Qualicum Beach, on April 12th.

6) File 2020-3178: Change, a gift card and sunglasses were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 800 block of Lakes Blvd, Parksville, on March 13th.  The garage door and a vacuum cleaner was reported missing.

7) File 2020-3180: An orange bag containing clothing, a pair of shoes and a vehicle emergency kit was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of Corfield Street South, Parksville, on April 13th.

8) File 2020-3182:A resident turned in cash found in front of the Springwood Elementary School, Parksville, on April 13th. Please contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours at 250-248-6111 to claim.

9) File 2020-3188: Theft of change and paperwork from a vehicle was reported in the 800 block of Mulholland Drive, Parksville, on April 13th.

10) File 2020-3193: A fence was reported cut and two storage containers entered in the 3100 block of Dogleg Road, Qualicum Beach, on April 13th.  Some items reported stolen were a Coleman stove, Coleman tent, a Christmas tree, a 10 x 10 Coleman pop-up tent and a Bosch hammer drill.

11) File 2020-3198: A Koolatron electric cooler was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Wembley Road, Parksville, on April 13th.

12) File 2020-3197: An unlocked vehicle was reported rummaged through in the 200 block of Elm Avenue, Qualicum Beach, on April 13th.

13) File 2020-3218: Binoculars, a flashlight and a pair of shoes were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 600 block of Beach Road, Qualicum Beach, on April 14th.

14) File 2020-3219: A vehicle and a moped were among the items stolen from a reported residential break-and-enter in the 800 block of Horne Lake Road, Qualicum Beach, on April 14th.

15) File 2020-800005: Two yellow kayaks, one labelled Perception and the second Impulse 1.0, were reported stolen in the 6900 block of Island Highway West, Bowser, on April 14th.

16) File 2020-3226: A Milwaukee drill set and other tools were reported stolen from a trailer in the area of Moilliet Street South and Despard Avenue West, Parksville, on April 14th.

17) File 2020-3244: A backpack style leaf blower was reported stolen in the 1200 block of Rath Road, Parksville, on April 15th.

18) File 2020-3246: BC motorcycle license Y71256 was reported lost in the 700 block of Wildgreen Way, Parksville, on April 15th.

19) File 2020-3247: A radar detector was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 600 block of Spruce Street, Parksville, on April 15th.

20) File 2020-3253: Two yellow Champion generators and a duplex cable were reported stolen in the 800 block of Fairdowne Road, Parksville, on April 15th.

21) File 2020-3257: A Makita circular saw, Makita reciprocating saw and other tools were reported stolen in the 1600 block of River Crescent, Parkville, on April 16th.

22) File 2020-3265: Change, sunglasses and a red Swiss army knife were reported from an unlocked vehicle in the 1400 block of Gabriola Drive, Parksville, on April 15th.

23) File 2020-3269: Change, a folding pocket knife and a Bluetooth adaptor was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 300 block of 1st Avenue West, Qualicum Beach, on April 15th.

24) File 2020-3286: BC Vehicle plates ML6576 were reported stolen in the 1400 block of Huntley Road, Parksville, on April 16th.

25) File 2020-3288: Locks were reported cut off of three storage units in the 2400 block of Alberni Highway, Coombs, on April 16th.

26) File 2020-3292: A black pocket knife was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1300 block of Saturna Drive, Parksville, on April 16th. A second vehicle was also rummaged in the same block.

27) File 2020-3328: A garden shed lock was reported broken off in the 200 block of Hickey Avenue, Parksville, on April 17th. Nothing was reported missing.

28) File 2020-3388: A vehicle was reported to have caused over $1,400 damage to the playfields at the Parksville Community Park, on April 18th.  A suspect has been identified due to residents calling in suspicious activity.
