Crime Watch Report - July 11 to July 17 2021

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 311 complaints.  

 

1) File 2021-7190: A business break-and-enter was reported in the 400 block of Stanford Avenue East, Parksville, on July 11. RCMP arrived and arrested one suspect.

2) File 2021-7193: A window to a business was reported broken in the 600 block of Primrose Street, Qualicum Beach, on July 11.

3) File 2021-7195: A vehicle was vandalized in the area of Harrison Avenue and Alberni Highway, Parksville, on July 11.

4) File 2021-7202: A business break-and-enter was reported in the 1700 block of Errington Road, Errington, on July 11. Among items reported stolen were a blue Echo E-bike and a lithium battery.

5) File 2021-7233: A white case with a multi coloured circle design iPhone was found in the 600 block of Memorial Avenue, Qualicum Beach, on July 12. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

6) File 2021-7241: A lock to a property gate was vandalized in the 1600 block of Errington Road, Errington, on July 12.

7) File 2021-7245: A sign for a business was vandalized in the 1800 block of Kaye Road, Nanoose Bay, on July 12.

8) File 2021-7250: Canada Post reported instances of mail from regional community mailboxes being stolen in Parksville, on July 12. 

9) File 2021-7259: Nighttime prowlers were reported in the 1200 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on July 12. Trespassers were said to be leaving garbage behind and using hoses on the property.

10) File 2021-8000122: BC plate AM770D was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 900 block of Island Highway East, Parksville on July 12.

11) File 2021-7285: Vandals removed barriers from a logging road in the 1800 block of Pratt Road, Qualicum Beach, on July 13.

12) File 2021-7296: A Samsung Galaxy phone in a black Otter box was found in the area of Wembley Road and Crystal Court, Parksville on July 13. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

13) File 2021-7298: A rock was thrown through a window of a place of worship in the 100 block of Hirst Avenue West, Parksville, on July 13.

14) File 2021-7300: A vehicle was reported stolen in the 900 block of Lee Road East, Parksville on July 13. RCMP recovered the vehicle in the 400 block of Wembley Road, Parksville, on July 15.

15) File 2021-7301: Two Bridgestone 445/65R 22.5 truck tires were reported stolen in the 1700 block of Errington Road, Errington, on July 13.

16) File 2021-7311: A storage locker break-and-enter was reported in the 200 block of Stanford Avenue East, Parksville, on July 13. Nothing appeared to be stolen.

17) File 2021-7345: Money was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2400 block of Andover Road, Nanoose Bay, on July 14.

18) File 2021-7352: A number of pairs of socks were reported stolen from an unlocked car in the 2400 block of Andover Road, Nanoose Bay, on July 14.

19) File 2021-7339: A bicycle was found in the 100 block of Jensen Avenue West, Parksville, on July 15.  RCMP identified and returned bike to owner on July 16.

20) File 2021-800123: A BC plate validation sticker was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2600 block of Island highway West, Qualicum Beach, on July 15.

21) File 2021-7391: A yellow/orange Pelican kayak was reported stolen in the 2500 block of Nuttal Drive, Nanoose Bay, on July 15.

22) File 2021-7408: Nighttime prowlers were reported in the area of Corfield Street and Corfield Street South Strata, Parksville, on July 15.

23) File 2021-7443: Refundable containers whose proceeds were to be donated were reported stolen from a storage compound in the 2300 block of Shady Lane, Horne Lake, on July 16.

24) File 2021-7448: A backpack containing baseball materials was reported lost in the 400 block of Despard Avenue West, Parksville, on July 16.

25) File 2021-7456: A vehicle prowler was reported in the 300 block of Alberni Highway, Parksville, on July 16.

26) File 2021-7462: An intoxicated intruder was reported sleeping in a boat in the 900 block of Esslinger Road, Parksville, on July 17. A male was detained and released from custody when sober.

27) File 2021-7476: Refundable containers were reported stolen from a storage compound in the 1200 block of Rath Road, Parksville on July 17.
