Crime Watch Report - June 13 to June 19, 2021

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 336 complaints.

 

1) File 2021-5966: A black/red GT Avalanche mountain bike was found in the area of Sunrise Drive and Sutton Place, Parksville, on June 13th. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular office hours to claim. 

2) File 2021-5977: Graffiti was reported on a building in the 100 block of Memorial Avenue, Parksville, on June 13th.

3) File 2021-5999: Two 3’6” concrete “East Island” lawn statues weighing approximately 150 lbs each were stolen from the 500 block of Corfield Street South, Parksville, on June 14th.

4) File 2021-6004: A nighttime prowler was reported in the 300 block of Church Road, Parksville, on June 14th. An audible alarm sounded and the female prowler fled the property.

5) File 2021-6013: An estimated $15,000 of damage was reported to an electrical sub-station in the 1100 block of Memorial Avenue, Qualicum Beach, on June 14th.  Approximately 10 feet of copper wire was stolen.  

6) File 2021-6032: A nighttime prowler was reported in the 400 block of Pioneer Crescent, Parksville, on June 15th.

7) 2021-6043: A drone was found in the 1100 bock of Sunrise Drive, Qualicum Beach, on June 15th. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

8) File 2021-800104: BC plates PK4462 were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1700 block of Whistler Road, Qualicum Beach, on June 15th.

9) File 2021-6086: Tools, including a nail gun and a compressor were reported stolen during a business break-end-enter in the 100 block of Weld Street, Parksville, on June 16th.

10) File 2021-6100: A Men’s Herschel wallet was found in the area of Doehle Avenue and Wisteria Street, Parksville, on June 16th. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

11) File 2021-6145: A nighttime prowler was reported in the 200 block of Stanford Avenue, Parksville, on June 17th.

12) File 2021-6182: A vehicle window was reported broken in the 100 block of Moilliet Street North, Parksville, on June 17th. The vehicle was rummaged through and approximately $5 in change was stolen.
13) File 2021-6200: A residential break-and-enter was reported in the 100 block of Shelley Road, Parksville, on June 18th. Surveillance video lead to the identification of a subject and subsequent charges.

14) File 2021-6205: A digital microscope, an Olympus CK2 inverter microscope and PH controllers were stolen from storage containers in the 7400 block of Island Highway West, Bowser, on June 18th.

15) File 2021-6207: A leaf blower, hedge trimmer and an electric saw were stolen in a residential break-and-enter in the 2300 block of Andover Road, Nanoose Bay, on June 18th.

16) File 2021-6222: A nighttime prowler was reported in the 1600 block of Granite Road, Nanoose Bay, on June 18th. 

17) File 2021-6251: A work safety harness valued at $100 was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 600 block of Abernathy Place, Parksville, on June 19th.

18) File 2021-6253: Pop and change were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 800 block of Stanhope Road, Parksville, on June 19th.

19) File 2021-6265: A red Osprey backpack was reported lost near Nile Creek on June 19th. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours if found so it can be returned to the owner.
