Crime Watch Report - September 22 to 28, 2019

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 294 complaints.

 

1) File 2019-10500: Reported on September 22nd that locks were removed from a breeze way between two buildings in the 1100 block of Island Highway East, Parksville. Video surveillance identified a male suspect.

2) File 2019-10501: A black 18 speed mountain bike was reported stolen from a residence in the 800 block of Aberdeen Drive, Parksville, on September 22nd.

3) File 2019-10531: No damage and nothing reported missing from a vehicle entered in the 100 block of Mills Street, Parksville, on September 22nd.

4) File 2019-10518: A battery was reported stolen from an RV in the 900 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on September 22nd.

5) File 2019-10530: A store window was broken in the 100 block of Hirst Avenue East, Parksville, on September 23rd.

6) File 2019-10534: An unlocked vehicle was rummaged through in the 800 block of Wright Road, Parksville, on September 23rd.

7) File 2019-10539: RCMP recovered a white 18 speed Nakamura mountain bike from a property in the 800 block of Wallys Way, Parksville, on September 23rd.  Please contact Oceanside RCMP to identify your property.

8) File 2019-10543: A local resident tuned in a wallet found in the 600 block of Wedgewood Crescent, Parksville, on September 23rd. Wallet was returned to owner.

9) File 2019-10544: Change and cigarettes were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 600 block of Morrison Avenue, Parksville, on September 23rd.

10) File 2019-10593: A pair of binoculars, two pairs of sunglasses and change were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 800 block of Lakes Blvd, Parksville, on September 24th.

11) File 2019-10594: A charm hanging from the rear view mirror was reported stolen from a possibly unlocked vehicle in the 800 block of Ocean Place, Parksville, on September 24th.

12) File 2019-10604: A pair of sunglasses and a debit card were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 800 block of Cavin Road, Parksville, On September 24th.

13) File 2019-10605: A suspected unlocked door resulted in a vehicle being reported rummaged through in the 600 block of Ashcroft Place, Parksville, on September 24th.

14) File 2019-10636: A MacBook Pro was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 1300 block of Sunrise Drive, Parksville, on September 25th.

15) File 2019-10637: Change was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 300 block of Blower Road, Parksville, on September 25th.

16) File 2019-10638: A business in the 700 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, reported the theft of an exterior surveillance camera on September 25th.

17) File 2019-10664: A resident turned in a Compaq laptop found on a property in the 500 block of Quatina Road, Qualicum Beach, on September 25th.  Contact Oceanside RCMP at 250-248-6111 if this is yours.

18) File 2019-10713: a 200 lb propane tank was reported stolen from a property in the 3100 block of Rinvold Road, Qualicum Beach, on September 26th.

19) File 2019-10717: A motorist reported on September 26th that their garage door opener was stolen from their vehicle while in Parksville.  The owner was having their opener reprogrammed.

20) File 2019-10727: An unlocked vehicle was rummaged through in the 800 block of Cannon Road, Parksville, on September 27th
